The first of the Campaign series by Stephen Badsey that really covers the entire Normandy Campaign from D-Day 6 June 1944 to the Falaise Pocket 11 to 25th August 1944. It is a brief but conseice synopsis that is a good read about a period of the war that has been largely forgotten ie.between D-Day and the Liberation of Paris. It was no push over and the fighting has been well covered in this book following the usual formula of campaign outline , battle maps , illustrations in colour and black and white photographs.
