This series is extensive covering all of the major battlefronts and all the major combatants who used armor in the Second World War. The books are well written by numerous well known expects such as Steven Zagola and are filled with very good photographs and excellent art work. The picture captions are detailed and accurate. Each book contains the same combination of introduction , background text and then many pages of pictures with detailed captions. These books are not exhaustive combat texts nor are they a collection of grainly poorly labelled photographs- instead they are a superb series that do justice to their purpose of describing Armor At War. These books bring armored warfare to life !
